I didn’t shine at work.

I was consumed by workload, reaching on time and clothes.
It made me forget my name and who I was.
I watched this person giving advice to people on instagram about the (wrong)camera settings to use for good videos and he was getting thank you messages for that?
I knew more about this because my parents were photographers, and I started at an age that I don’t even remember the number of.
Then I saw people giving writing courses and stumbling about whether or not a term was a verb or a noun and I was a United Nations champion of writing.
But the problems wa that they were doing and I was watching.
I wasn’t a doer.
I watched Brian Tracy for hours on how to eat my lunch as fast as I could, so that I can be back at work and always have this sense of urgency which made fat, tired while driving back home and slowly all those motivational speeches had lost their sweetness for me.
Until: I realized that I had to work for Myself and not for My Job.
I wrote my first post.
I filmed my first video.
Those attempts were crappy but I did them no matter what.
They made me feel happier inside.
Like I had a second life.
Work politics and being back bitten didn’t mean anything to me coz my mind was consumed on my next video and my next post on my blog.
What made me shine is my attempt to work on myself.
I started pushing harder weights in gym maybe coz of less stress. Weights, writing and filling myself became my stress busters.
If you are on the edge of working harder for your boss then give your ownself a try.
You got this!
Don’t leave your job, don’t wait for a weekend or vacation. Coz you build the life you want in your daily routine and not on an island of vacation and all the free time.
